"The System"

Everybody complains about, "THE SYSTEM ".... The system is bad, the system is corrupt blah blah blah...
So what is this terrible system?.... The system is you and I who go to work late,
the system is you and I who will pay the bribe to the police and turn around and accuse them,
the system is you and I who who sit on people's applications for months and do nothing,
the system is you and I who leave our backyards dirty and court malaria then lambast the government for not doing anything about it, the system is you and I who claim to be religious but live different lives outside the church,
the system is you and I who are so undisciplined yet expect our subordinates to be,
the system is you and I who never show any interest in our children's education, we don't even know their grades or what class they are but expect government to know,
the system is you and I who don't want to pay any taxes but expect government to have all the money to do everything you want,
the system is you and I who expect politicians to be accountable when we try always to swerve the law....

Hmmmm...... Our country will never develop unless we the individuals change our attitude. No government anywhere has developed any country but for the hard work of individuals like you and I. Lets change our attitude for the better and we will definitely see the country move gradually towards our dreams.
Don't look up to someone to change first, start the change in your own small way and when well all start in our own small ways, we will wonder at how great a change we can collectively make... And oh yes! It is very possible!

true change

We ghanaians have cheapened ourselves so much so that , educated or not, politicians feel free to say whatever they want to us and we don't even hold them accountable. NDC and NPP have all been making unrealistic promises over the past years and of course we only make some useless noises for a while an capish.....we have fallen so much in love with lies ,so much so, that a truthful politician never wins an election.

Lazy workers who report late to work and are the first to leave with all sorts of excuses expect to be rich once their party is in power.people without any certificate whatsoever expect to get white collar jobs,we expect all roads to be tarred in four years, houses built for everyone and even malaria to varnish when we don't even weed our own backyards or clean our own gutters.
we take bribes and pay huge parts of it as tithes and offertory to churches whose pastors don't care where it all came from but will bless you afterwards.

We the youth waste so much time on the phone talking about EPL and the shoe Osama wore before he was shot, pay people to write our long essays/ project works for us,cannot even write a good CV or even do good researches before job interviews; yet we expect jobs to chase us after school.
we say are largely Christians in this country but is not these same Christians who are robbing people?, is not these same Christians who are always late to work? is not these same Christians who pay the bribes to other Christians? is not these same Christians are the politicians we hate so much for their lies?

No single party ideology has developed any state but truthful hardworking and selfless people.we must look inwards and get serious, whatever we believe in and live up to what God expects of us.
some will go to church and scream their heads off saying" i am the head and not the tail but will not learn in school..always in the last group in class. we sit in beautiful cars and drive past children who we can help pay fees with the monies we use for the credits on our multiple phones but we complain about street children and armed robbers when they turn round and haunt us.

Hypocrisy has rendered this nation stagnant and neither NDC, NPP, PPP and the rest(all apologies to them) can change this. Government do not develop nations .it is the collectivity of individuals who do so let us all make a conscious effort to change!
